The EN postcode area

The EN postcode area is named after Enfield. EN1 to EN5 cover the London Borough of Enfield (Enfield Town, Bush Hill Park, Ponders End, Enfield Wash) and the Barnet side at New Barnet and High Barnet; EN6 to EN11 cross into Hertfordshire for Potters Bar, Waltham Cross, Cheshunt, Broxbourne and Hoddesdon, with EN9 (Waltham Abbey) in Essex. The area runs up the Lea Valley along the A10 corridor.

Enfield’s housing is largely inter-war suburbia with Victorian and Edwardian terraces nearer the town centres and post-war estates toward the Lea; Barnet’s EN districts add Victorian villas and 1930s semis on the higher ground around the town. Pitched roofs, chimneys, rendered bays and extensions of several dates are typical, and condensation in well-sealed older houses is a frequent call.

Each district below links to the places inside it. The Hertfordshire and Essex districts have no local page yet; call to check cover for a specific address.

Before you book in the EN postcode area: common questions

My postcode is in the EN postcode area but my street has no page yet. Can you still come?

I am buying a property in the EN postcode area. Can you survey it before exchange?

Yes. A pre-purchase damp and leak investigation records moisture readings, visible defects and any active leak, so you can negotiate or walk away informed. Book it as early in the process as you can.

How do I know which EN postcode area page is mine?
