The NW postcode area

The NW postcode area is the North Western district of the London post town, one of the original districts of the 1850s and numbered in 1917. It covers parts of Camden, Barnet, Brent and Westminster: Camden Town, Regent’s Park and Marylebone’s northern edge in NW1, Hampstead, Belsize Park, Kilburn, West Hampstead, Cricklewood and Willesden in the middle, and Hendon, Golders Green and Mill Hill to the north. Most of the places listed below are in Barnet, Camden and Brent.

Hampstead and Belsize Park have large Victorian and Edwardian houses, most now divided into flats; Kilburn, Cricklewood and Willesden are late-Victorian terraces; Hendon, Golders Green and Mill Hill are largely inter-war. Flats in converted houses, mansion blocks with ageing shared pipework and basement conversions on sloping ground are the recurring sources of the leaks and damp we investigate here.

Pick your district below for the local pages inside it; the borough page is named on each row.
