How long does damp treatment take to dry out?
After DPC injection, walls need 3–6 months to fully dry out before redecoration. The treatment itself (injection + re-plastering) typically takes 1–3 days depending on the extent of affected wall. We apply salt-resistant render immediately, but we advise waiting at least 3 months before painting — even with breathable paint. Moisture readings will confirm when the wall is ready.

Can you treat damp without replastering?
No — if rising damp has been present, the existing plaster will be contaminated with hygroscopic salts that continue to draw moisture even after the DPC is installed. Replastering with salt-resistant render is an essential part of the treatment, not an add-on. Any company offering DPC injection without replastering is providing an incomplete — and ultimately ineffective — solution.
